c.1964 Marx, No. 5105 3pc. Heavy Gauge Construction Set in Original Box
Incredible set of three matching, heavy gauge, pressed steel construction vehicles from Marx and Co. Includes brilliant orange enameled dump truck, power shovel, and road grader. Superb mint in box store stock which was only just recently opened. Contents were removed from the box for the first time for these photo's. Comes complete with all cardboard inserts and wax paper separator. No figures came with this set. Dump Truck 18" x 7" x 6": Manual dump bed, soft plastic tires with chrome metal hubs, transparent styrene plastic windshield, chrome plastic grille assembly. Power Shovel 20" x 6" x 6": Hand cranked with automatic spring released shovel, rotating operator's compartment, rubber treads on wooden wheels. Road Grader 16" x 6" x 7": Steering wheel manually turns front wheels, soft plastic tires with chrome metal hubs, pivoting front axle, 3 position manually raised stationary plow, removable plastic diesel motor, rubber exhaust pipe, and rear axles with manual "shocks". Original box has detailed illustration of all three pieces on the top flaps. Each of the side panels have additional silhouetted images of the vehicles.
